In October 2009 fourteen Emilia Romagna wines won the Gambero Rosso award. Between the winners Sangiovese, Lambrusco, Malvasia, Bonarda, Barbera.
We are proud of these outstanding wines, we are looking forward to welcome you in our region for this wine tasting experience.
This tours offers:
- wine tasting directly at the producers with food matching experience. Visit at the vineyard, production area, bottling process. Visitors will learn about the whole process of wine making.
- wine tasting with a sommelier for the ultimate wine experience to learn and distinguish the different wines.
A tour just specialising in wine, we will be visiting the most renowned producers of wine in the region, the tour will include visit at the winery, tasting and a walking tour of the historical town centers. The tour can last one day for one city or you can combine it with other

It is not just about wine all Emilia Romagna town have a long history, while we discover food and wine will can also guide you trough beautiful piazza and palazzi. Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna, Ravenna and Rimini have plenty to show.

Bologna
Pignoletto king of Bologna hills.
This is a local variety of grapes and the wine produced is delicious and unique. Pale yellow colour with green overtones. It has a dry, slightly fruity delicate taste. It is perfect as aperitif at 8-10 degree and it goes very well with the local cuisine such as tortellini
Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Riesling Italico, Barbera and Merlot.
Modena
Lambrusco Grasparossa.
Lambrusco is a highly underrated wine. Here in Modena you can taste this earthy wine which accompanies all the local dishes. It is sparking and frothy. Always red with strong purple overtones. It is generally a a dry wine but medium and sweet varieties also exist. One of the favorite is the grasparossa variety, literally red grape, which is actually more purple than red.
